Any unforeseen, unexpected events happening during testing (such as fire alarms, strikes, civil unrest etc.) may lead to the extension of the testing period as all candidates affected have to be contacted and (re)tested on an individual basis. The European Commission is recruiting three Temporary Agents (grade AD14) for the Regulatory Scrutiny Board in the Secretariat-General, whose main responsibilities will include quality assurance of draft impact assessment reports prepared by the Commission on existing policies and new political initiatives.

The Regulatory Scrutiny Board is dedicated to supporting the European Commission’s Better Regulation Policy by providing central quality control of impact assessments, ex-post evaluations and regulatory fitness checks. It is composed of six members and a chair person.

The Members will be appointed for a fixed term contract of three years, non-renewable and are based in Brussels.
