The Acordo Ortográfico da Língua Portuguesa of 1990 definitively entered into force, in Portugal, on 13 May 2015. Therefore, the selection board agrees that candidates use the new spelling in the written tests of competition EPSO/AD/319/15.

Minimum score needed to be invited to the E-tray: 51

The E-tray is planned to take place on 21-22-23/09/2015 in the test centres in the 28 Member States (not outside the EU).

– As indicated in the General rules governing open competitions and confirmed by case-law, candidates cannot receive the wording of the questions and answers of the computer-based multiple-choice tests as they might be re-used for other tests/competitions.

– At this stage of the procedure, we will no longer accept any request for review concerning specific test items/questions. Candidates had 10 days after they sat their tests to file a request for neutralisation (see the General rules governing open competitions).

– Due to neutralisation of test questions, your test result might not be a whole number. Please check detailed information on neutralisation in the General rules governing open competitions.

– The results of the verbal and numerical reasoning tests are not taken into account in the calculation of your total pre-selection mark, however, you must reach the minimum pass marks in all tests in order to be able to qualify for the next stage of the competition. (See the Competition notice).

Regional security officers and advisers

Most important points to remember before you go to the test centre:

  • The testing will take place from 01.09.2015 to 11.09.2015.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes in advance.
  • The address of the test centre is provided via a link in your booking confirmation.
  • Don’t forget to take your booking confirmation printed from your EPSO account and a valid ID document with a photo (please check the CBT manual to see which documents are accepted).
  • Timing of the tests and number of questions: Time allowed per test and the number of questions can be found in our previous message.
  • Rescheduling is possible but is subject to availability. To reschedule your test, you must first wait until the booking confirmation uploads in your EPSO account (usually within 48 hours after your initial booking). See the CBT manual for more information.
  • Languages: you will take your tests in the language (L2) you selected in your application. The instructions on the computer screen will be provided in your language 2. To check which languages you selected, click on your candidate number in your EPSO account and you will see them in your application form. No changes are possible after validation of your application.
  • Number of points and pass marks: please check the Call for expressions of interest  (BG, CS, DA, DE, EL, EN, ES, ET, FI, FR, GA, HR, HU, IT, LT, LV, MT, NL, PL, PT, RO, SK, SL, SV).
  • Results: all results are processed by Prometric and sent to EPSO only after all candidates have sat their tests. The test results for candidates having special accommodation (such as visually impaired candidates, etc.) have to be evaluated manually and all test results are calculated and approved by the Selection Board during a special meeting. Any unforeseen, unexpected events happening during testing (such as fire alarms, strikes, civil unrest etc.) may lead to the extension of the testing period as all candidates affected have to be contacted and (re)tested on an individual basis. The whole procedure can take from several days to several weeks.

The European Commission is recruiting three Temporary Agents (grade AD14) for the Regulatory Scrutiny Board in the Secretariat-General, whose main responsibilities will include quality assurance of draft impact assessment reports prepared by the Commission on existing policies and new political initiatives.

The Regulatory Scrutiny Board is dedicated to supporting the European Commission’s Better Regulation Policy by providing central quality control of impact assessments, ex-post evaluations and regulatory fitness checks. It is composed of six members and a chair person.

The Members will be appointed for a fixed term contract of three years, non-renewable and are based in Brussels.

A security perimeter will be established by the Belgian Police in the Brussels European area. The security perimeter will be closed to visitors, but the EPSO building (Avenue de Cortenbergh, 25) lies outside of this security perimeter.
